If you are using Mason County EMSCharts on a company provided laptop or desktop DO NOT follow these directions and go directly to the Mason County EMSCharts link and proceed with your business as normal.

If you want to use a personal Microsoft based device with EMSCharts that is not company provided, you MUST follow the following steps in order for Mason County EMSCharts to function correctly with Microsoft Windows.  Your failure to follow these directions which results in the failure of Mason County EMSCharts is solely your responsibility.  **Please note that this procedure requires changing a default security protocol in Internet Explorer as well as downloading an Active X component.

Step 1 -- Security Protocol Change

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click Tools
3. Click Pop-Up Blocker
4. Click Turn Off Pop-Up Blocker
5. Click Tools
6. Click Internet Options
7. Click the Security Tab
8. Click the blue Internet Globe in the list
9. Click the Custom Level button
10. Scroll down the list to a choice titled "DOWNLOAD UNSIGNED ACTIVEX COMPONENTS" and choose the setting below that called "PROMPT"
11. Click OK
12. Click OK
13. Proceed with step 2 below

Step 2 -- Meade Paper Company Print Update

1. Click on the following link:     http://www.meadroid.com/scriptx/userlink.asp
2. Click the Continue button
3. Notice the blue bar at the top of the webpage asking you to install the Meade Company's Script X
4. Perform a right click on the message
5. Left click on the install choice in the new menu that popped up
6. When presented with a security warning, click INSTALL
7. When finished you will be presented with a message indicating a complete install

You are now done.  Once you do this the first time, you do NOT need to do this anymore.
